            Description

The Heritage Corner Abour comfortably seats 2 people and is the perfect spot for catching up with a few friends and equally ideal for a quiet Sunday. It's really easy to assemble, position and fix and will add extra charm to your garden.

This Shire Arbour is manufactured from high grade timber from the slow grown forests of Scaninavia and Siberia. This is distinguished from fast grown type timber used on cheaper arbours from other manufactures. Slow grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life.  The timber has been pressure treated and kiln dried meaning low maintenance.

Pressure Treatment - With this treatment a preservative is forced into the timber under high pressure, providing effective long term protection against rot and fungus. Pressure treatment is almost colourless except for a light green tint caused by the copper content in the preservative. In the course of time, the treatment greys, but this does not affect the quality.

Supplied flat packed for ease of handling and assembly. All fittings and felt are included in the price with clear easy to follow instructions.

Manufactured in the UK, Shire's garden sheds are renowned for their quality and probably make the best quality wooden sheds at this price in the UK.

"glowing review: Re review on trust pilot, I sent in a glowing review of the arbour purchased from you via trust pilot shortly after erecting the product in June. This review has not been placed on your website. I was so pleased with the product and efficiency of you staff from initial telephone enquiry to prompt delivery I wanted to share my experience with potential customers. I have been amazed on checking several times to see that not only my review is not shown but only one other review is available to view. I find it very difficult to believe that no one else has wanted to comment on this value for money arbour and wonder if there is a problem with your website My joiner added slate tiles to ensure completely watertight. It looks amazing! I have recommended your products to numerous people having bought from you in the past and my brother in law has recently ordered a lovely summerhouse which he is very pleased with. Regards Shirley Naughton "

"Excellent product and excellent service: Staff so helpful in answering my queries prior to ordering. Delivery arranged easily. Found reviews very helpful and organised a local joiner to erect after having laid a solid base. I sanded a few rough parts and filled nail holes then painted with two coats of natural stone colour wood paint prior to construction. For not much extra cost had grey slate tiles added to roof to ensure water tight and sealed joints. The end result - it looks amazing!. Real value for money"

"Strong , heavy duty & substantial: Overall this arbour is a very strong and substantial product. It is slightly disappointing that it is a bit on the small side - it could have been another 150-200 mm larger in both directions. The instructions were fairly easy to follow bot there is one very basic error - DO NOT PRE-DRILL WITH 6mm HOLES . THE DRILL SIZE SHOULD BE 4mm FOR THE 60mm SCREWS AND 3mm FOR THE 50mm SCREWS. OTHERWISE THE SCREWS WILL NOT BITE PROPERLY ! Also, as in a previous review, the roof is very difficult to fit and there is too much space where the roof joins the bearers. I finished mine off with some 16mm quadrant beading which also gives it a pleasing appearance. Finally, some of the wood was not of the high quality expected - even 3 of the corner posts had splits in them. If the makers addressed the above issues this product would then be first class. "

"Good product shame about the roof: This is a really nice looking arbour seat and the materials are substantial. You will need to drill pilot holes in the timber to assemble the arbour. It is a 2 man job to manoeuvre the 2 sides together and also to put the roof structure on. Unless you are Geoff Capes, don't try lifting the roof on your own. My advice is to spend a couple of days treating the individual parts with a goood quality wood preserver before assembly. One word of caution though, the image used for advertising shows the roof panels cut in to the roof bearers, don't be fooled - in reality they are cut square, so you WILL have gaps that need a bead of sealant run into them. I am going to bed some wooden beading in the gaps in mine and paint to match the roof. Overall a very good product."
