Features
A combination of transparent glazing for the walls and a 'frosted' twin-wall glazing for the roof panels are used to help produce the balanced environment needed for optimum growth. On one hand, transparent polycarbonate walls give clarity to the plants inside and have the classic greenhouse look. Meanwhile, twin-wall panels offer a greater degree of sun diffusion that creates a more even temperature for plants. Plants that may otherwise be in the shade for too long in a daily cycle will enjoy additional sunlight. Other spots in the greenhouse that have a habit of overheating and damaging plants will have a reduction in harsh and direct sunlight.
What makes the 8x16 Palram Balance Silver truly special is its expanded width of eight feet compared to Palram's more compact models. This allows for a set of double doors, which are optimal for easy access when transporting large plants or equipment. A low threshold doorway in contrast to the rest of the galvanised steel base makes it easy to enter by wheelchair or push through barrows of soil.
The Balance keeps to the traditional and trusted greenhouse design of an apex roof, prioritising headspace for the full length of the structure. With a peak interior height of over seven feet, you are unlikely to need to worry about stooping over while tending to plants. Accessories

The Automatic Vent Opener requires no manual adjustment or electrical input to function. A wax cylinder inside the opener expands as the ambient increases to around 12-15 degrees celsius, and in turn causes the vent to start opening, thus cooling your greenhouse. This is an excellent way to maintain a moderate temperature within your 8x16 Balance, with minimal effort.
Other accessories can help increase your usable space. For example, one of our favourite accessories is the Heavy Duty Shelf Kit, which is easily installed on the wall of your Balance greenhouse and supports up to 40kg weight. Its modular design means you can add as many shelves as you like alongside one another in a seamless manner. This shelf can be easily removed and positioned elsewhere, but those especially concerned with portability might find a lot to love in the freestanding Steel Work Bench, which has two levels to provide ample room for storage, and an adjustable lower shelf.
